Pretty color, poor quality

I hate leaving bad reviews but this nail polish was the one detail of my wedding day that was a disappointment. I was totally in love with the color, and it was a perfect match for my dress and rings. It looks so pretty going on your nails. However, it cracks and crumbles and chips off way too easily. I tried it many different ways. With a base coat, two coats of color, and a top coat, it was too thick and formed lots of cracks. It would peel away from the edges and come right off. With just one coat of color, the cracking didn't happen as much, but it was too translucent. On my actual wedding day I tried two coats of color without a base or top coat, to avoid the thickness, and gave my hands three or four hours to dry, during which time I barely moved. During the wedding I noticed a lot of dents and divets on my nails, and the polish had a crumbly look around the edges. Maybe it would have been better if I had given my hands a full day to dry, but who can go that long without using their hands at all? I've never had this problem with OPI.
