    Disappointed

I purchased 10 nail polishes so obviously I can’t try them all at once. Just tried the meet the parents and the bottle is empty! I got two coats on my toes before it started sticking. I kept shaking and shaking because surely they would not send me a used or returned product. I’ll just go straight to Essies cost a couple dollars more but it will be brand new and sealed!

Pretty! From Essie's 2014 Wedding Collection, Meet the Parents is a pastel, slightly grayed, light blue. I love colors like this, and this shade is very flattering and perfect for Spring. It's not a stark, chalky pastel. It's very mellow and wearable. It's what I had hoped Zoya's Kristen would be like (I thought that one was a little TOO gray). The formula is a problem though. It is so streaky and patchy and difficult. I'd call this one a three-coater. Four lippies instead of five due to the formula issues. But I still like it overall and I would buy it again. Great polish!

I just tried this out on a manicure today and I'm liking it quite a bit. I'm an AAA with warm golden tones and on me it's like a warm lavendar, or a champagne version of Demure Vixen which was waaaay too grey on me, pretty as it is. It's muted but pretty and enough colour to avoid being boring, at least to me. =)I have Merino Cool on my toes and I'm looking to try Sweet Tart layered over it on my hands once this mani has worn off, just to see if I can make a kicked up version of it. Another idea is as a base to a French, or to use ST on tips with MC as a base. Can't wait to try these ideas out!

The only reason I'm not buying this again is that I never get a polish again simply because the bottles last a long time and by the time I've finished it, I would like to try something new. The colour is very natural, I don't really know how to explain it. I like light colours that don't really scream "look at my hands". The colour still shines quite nicely!

    this is growing on me.

this is growing on me. mauve/grey with mauve/pink shimmer. with one coat lovely hint of shimmer and with three coats fantastic ladylike shade. for my very pale PPP hands, a bit too muted.
